My Message: A Handwritten Font That Elevates Campaign Typography

Choosing the Right Font for a Pinterest Campaign

I was finalizing a seasonal Pinterest campaign for a wellness brand when I decided to try My Message. The campaign focused on a spring-themed content series, with pins designed to promote blog posts, product highlights, and quote graphics. The goal was to create visuals that felt warm, inviting, and emotionally engaging. I needed a font that could stand out in a feed without looking forced or overly stylized. That’s when I dropped My Message into the design mockups.

Right away, the font caught my eye. It’s a script amp style handwritten font with a gentle, flowing structure. Each letter feels like it was written with care—soft curves, subtle bounce, and a slightly uneven rhythm that gives it a personal touch. It’s not overly dramatic like some decorative fonts, but still expressive enough to add a layer of personality to any visual.

How My Message Performs in Real Campaign Visuals

I tested My Message across several campaign assets: quote pins, product feature graphics, and teaser thumbnails. On Pinterest, where visual clarity and emotional appeal matter most, the font performed well in short headlines and captions. It was especially effective on quote pins where the text needed to stand out over soft pastel backgrounds.

On a quote pin that read “Spring is the time to refresh your routine,” the font’s gentle tone matched the message perfectly. It added a sense of intimacy and warmth, which is key for a wellness brand trying to connect with its audience. When I previewed the same pin on mobile, the font remained legible at a glance—important for fast-scrolling feeds.

However, I noticed that My Message didn’t hold up as well in dense layouts or when used for body copy. The script style, while beautiful, is better suited for short bursts of text rather than long paragraphs. I quickly adjusted the design to use it only for headlines and supporting callouts, pairing it with a clean sans serif for the rest of the content.

Where My Message Shines in Digital Marketing

My Message is ideal for campaign moments that require emotional resonance and visual charm. Here are a few use cases where it delivered strong results:

One of the standout features of My Message is how it contributes to brand consistency. If your brand voice is warm, inviting, and human-centric, this font can become part of your visual identity system—especially when used in a controlled way across your promotional assets.

Readability, Pairing, and Practical Use

When using My Message in digital content, always test for readability. It works best at medium to large sizes, especially on image overlays. For example, in a YouTube thumbnail, I placed the text over a light blurred background to ensure contrast and legibility. Avoid using it over busy or dark backgrounds without a text shadow or outline.

Font pairing is crucial with My Message. Since it’s a script font, it pairs beautifully with a minimalist sans serif like Montserrat or Lato. This creates a balanced visual hierarchy—My Message for emotional impact, and the sans serif for clarity and structure. If you're designing for print or packaging, try pairing it with a serif font for a more editorial or vintage-inspired look.

Before using the font in client work or commercial campaigns, check the licensing. Most premium fonts come with clear usage terms, but it’s always good to verify whether the license includes web use, merchandise, or digital product templates. Also, check for available styles—My Message includes ligatures and alternate characters, which can help customize the look for different design needs.

When My Message Isn’t the Best Fit

Despite its charm, My Message isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. It doesn’t work well in situations requiring precision or formality. I wouldn’t recommend it for:

Its handwritten style is best reserved for emotional messaging, brand storytelling, and visual branding moments where typography can serve as a design element rather than just a communication tool.
